I have not used the CF30 yet because you sold out of the TC100 bundle. I'm waiting for the email notification when new stock arrives.

Science and Art: a marriage of perfection

This vessel.... hewn from the mineral ores of the earth!... milled by master craftsmen!... and commisioned into service on station in the SheepDog Monastary to birth poetic grade ales and pilsners for generations to come! .....and why stop at one?... so I bought two... 'Merica!

Great Fermenter

Nicely built, easy to clean, carbonate and pressure transfer. I added the TC-100 temp control package with heating and cooling plus the caster kit. Pretty hard to beat this setup.

Not worth the price

So, over all, the fermenters work. The are fairly easy to clean and easy to assemble. However, the uni-tank function leaves much to be desired. We have about 14 batches under our belt, and every single one has had some sort of leak we had to chase. Batch one, okay, there were some key instructions we didn’t follow 100% accurately, but every other one has been by the book, and still have had to chase leaks. Over all, would would recommend as a fermenter, but if you need to carb I would look for something else.

Last But The Most Important!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I started acquiring distillation equipment in the wrong order: First, it was the still. A 26 gallon, 4" glass portholed, 6 stage reflux still! My first distillation was 8 gallons of sugar wash which felt like flying an F-15 on full afterburner!!! All I can say is, 'Holy ****! What a ride!!!!' I wound up with product but don't ask me how I got there! What an amazing experience! Everything happened so fast! Then I learned the smallest quantity of wash to even attempt with a 26 gallon kettle is 15 to 20 gallons! With that knowledge, I realized my fermenter was way too small and needed to be re-sized accordingly., so I started shopping. Found Spike Brewing and their CF30 and it was love at first sight! Well-designed, all stainless with four legs plus casters! Don't know about you but moving over 160 pounds of liquid can be quite a chore! The CF30 handles it with ease! My suggestion. you may not think you need such a large capacity fermenter but you will be so happy if you go with the CF30. Pricey? Of course!! But so worth it!!!!
