cf5 bargain cave conical
when i ordered a bargain cave model i thought it might come with a dent, scuff marks, or other minor flaws. what i didn't expect was missing level markings inside conical. knowing that may not have ordered. in the future you might want to include what is wrong with the bargain models and also a photo . overall still a quality product . Thanks

This thing is great
I love this thing, so easy to clean and more convenient than using buckets. Great build, I did go back and get the extended legs casters and brace after the first use makes it more user friendly, for me. I also wrapped it in 5mm neoprene used my on hand bucket heater under the wrap. That keeps my ferment perfect till it’s complete sitting in my unheated garage. I know they are spendy but the convenience is so much nicer.

Shiny stainless steel
Run Amok Mead now owns 10 of these, and we think they are spectacularly awesome. They’re very well-made, can safely be pressurized, with a relief valve, and they have a dump valve, a racking valve and a sample port. The lids have three 1.5 inch tri-clamp fittings in addition to the central 4 inch port, for whatever you need: blow off tube, gas Manifold, hops additions, you name it. All 10 of ours are on wheels, to help us utilize our small space, and I am 100% certain that my liver will fail before this equipment does. Thanks Spike!

3-Port Lid
Every Conical Fermenter comes with a standard lid with three 1.5” tri-clamp ports. The ports are specifically designed for a blow off port, hop addition port and a pressure relief valve (PRV) port so you can stay safe when your CF is under pressure.

Locally Welded
We weld all our CF fittings right here at our facility in Milwaukee, WI. Why does this matter? It means we have control over our strict quality standards. Most competitor models are welded overseas, so there’s fewer quality and control checks throughout the process. Spoiler alert: Sanitary welds are very important when you’re making something that will eventually be consumed.

Unitank
A Unitank refers to a fermenter that can ferment and carbonate beer in one vessel. Cut down your carbonation time from 7 days in bottles and kegs to just over 24 hours using a CF Unitank and our carb stone!

Temperature Control
Temperature control is crucial to fermentation. Some beer styles can be kept at room temperature, while others need to be kept cooler. The Spike CF line has a temperature control system (the TC-100) which will keep your beer within 1 degree of your fermentation target temperature.
