What Took So Long?!?

Wanted to use it on my 30 gal. Rum fermentation but fermentation was already underway when the lid was ordered. Doing a 20 gallon corn mash next, so usage evaluation will have to wait.

Big improvement over the single port lid, could have used a 2” for the dry hops...

This system is new to me, purchased a lightly used CF10 and I went ahead and ordered quite a few upgrades. This is a whole new ball game moving up from brew buckets, I am very pleased. No complaints, with the exception that the dry hop port could have been a bit bigger.

Why three 1.5" ports???

I'm not sure why the extra effort was done to create this product but all the ports are still 1.5". The main feedback from every user is that dry-hopping with a valve/purge setup is finicky as you slam the valve open/shut trying to get all the hops to drop. Why didn't we at least make one port 2" or 3"? I ended up attaching a 1.5 to 2 reducer to the front port and using a 2" BF valve to help solve the problem. 2" valve is still finicky but MUCH easier to use when dry hopping. Rating 3 stars because at least now I can keep the PRV on the lid while dry hopping, but I feel like this is a miss not just on Product Ownership but research and development. Someone spent time to adjust the LID knowing there was an issue but somehow completely missed actually reading feedback. We don't just want more ports, we need a larger port for dry hopping.
