Its a lid clamp it does what it's supposed to do well. Besides the clamp though everything Spike makes is the best of the best. I have owned ss brewtech equipment, spike equipment and various other bands and Spike continues to prove to be the superior product. The spike tanks are amazing, being able to take the lid off to hand scrub stubborn residue off or visually inspect the inside of the tank is crucial in my opinion and you cant do that with SS brewtech tanks, you relying on just a CIP ball and trust me that's not enough. Clean beer starts with clean tanks and their tanks are the easiest to inspect and clean. Spike also has the most responsive and loyal customer service I have ever seen, anytime I have had a minor problem they have taken care if it free of charge very quickly. Other brands I submit a ticket, takes weeks for a response, never can get on the phone with anyone cause they don't even provide a phone number! Staying loyal to a band is important to me and Spike won me over for life.
USReplacement lid clamp solved pressurization leak
On my first use of the CF-10 I tried to carbonate the beer in the unitank, but it leaked CO2 badly and wouldn't hold more than about 3-4 psi. The support person at Spike sent me a replacement lid band, which now enables the tank to pressurize correctly at about 10-11 psi. How much of the solution was the band, versus lubricating the seal and using a mallet to tape around the band to seat it, I don't know. But all is well now.

I was having an issue with the seal leaking. Spike sent a replacement gasket, lid and clamp. That’s how customer service should be.
