The 15g Solo basket fits perfectly into my15g NON-Spike kettle. I have used it a few times for full-volume mashes for 5 gallon batches, mashing up to about 16 lbs of grain with 70-73% efficiency. I love that I can direct-fire my kettle to step-mash while recirculating. The Solo basket is a BIG upgrade from a mesh BIAB bag. Super easy to dump grains and clean up, too!

Coupled with my 15 gan Spike kettle the system works like a charm. Small learning curve, a few adjustments to suit my needs and I have a great system. Easy to clean, easy to handle and simple to store.

As with all Spike products, very well built. The only improvement that they could do is maybe make their false bottoms/basket bottom with a little smaller grooves. It seems like grains have a tendency to get past them causing for more trub. I love my setup and won't get rid of it at all. I just switched from a 3 pot system to a solo setup (still on gas though) and Love them. Now release that pump!
